Stronger Support Urged to Unlock Midlands Economic Potential

Big Business Entrepreneurs (BBE), a leading UK business coaching organisation, is calling for more focused support to help business owners across the Midlands drive growth.

Recent figures indicate that the West Midlands is home to 965,903 businesses, accounting for 8.1% of the UK’s total business population. However, this activity is unevenly distributed, with major cities significantly outperforming nearby towns and rural areas.

Adam Stott, Founder of Big Business Entrepreneurs, said: “With vast industrial heritage but stark variation in business density, the Midlands is primed for business coaching to help founders scale and close the gap between its strongest and weakest-performing areas.

“The Midlands has long been one of the UK’s industrial engines, and today remains a region of enormous potential but more targeted support is needed to help business owners achieve that potential.”

BBE believes that structured coaching can help businesses in less dense areas catch up, by improving confidence, enhancing digital marketing skills and enabling faster scaling.

Adam Stott added: “The Midlands has world-class talent, industry and innovation, but many small business owners struggle to access the structure and support needed to grow. Coaching gives them a roadmap so they can increase revenue, hire staff and contribute more fully to regional economic prosperity.”
